Col de Glandon/Col de la Croix de Fer and le Tour

Evening all,
A necessarily brief blog tonight, we've had a big day out, rode 90 km, climbed 2000 m, watched the tour on it's way up to the Col de Glandon and then rode home in the chaos of 1000's of crazed fans descending from the mountains.
It was a great day, the hills were long and steep, the weather was kind, the tour is spectacular and defies an accurate description of the atmosphere it creates..... so I won't try.
The excitement of the day has left us all tre fatigued and all have abandoned to their beds at the earliest opportunity. I too am struggling to stay awake and now need my bed, hence the brevity of this blog.
Details should follow some recovery snoozing.

Have recovered somewhat this morning.... it's been raining and everyone is happy for a slow and more relaxed start.... suits me.
Following are a few photos of the Col de Glandon. Will be heading out for the "Balcony ride"  shortly, as the rain is clearing and there are more hills to ride....
