Lyon, Day 2

Hi all, feeling much better today. Had a very nice evening with Mark and Sue last night over in the old part of town, Vieux Lyon. They are staying in a very cool little unit atop a spiraling stone staircase in the centre of what seems a highly fashionable district with plenty of history (secret passageway used by the French underground) and good food, bars etc.
We practised french greetings, had a beer, Mark cooked dinner in their French underground/3rd floor secret apartment, a bottle of wine, a walk and an icecream down the street, all made for a very pleasant evening.
The time goes so quickly with the daylight lasting till about 9:00. My early night slipped away and it wasn't till nearly midnight before my head hit the pillow. I knew nothing till 5:30 which was way too soon to wake up, but being around lunch time in OZ, there was no more sleep to be had.
Today has been a general look around, mastered the Metro and practiced a bit of French while sampling food and coffee.
Pretty full at the moment, so adopting the traditional afternoon rest before heading off to the airport to pick up Norm.
I'll try to attach a few photos from last night to this. ..... Not sure how?

it seemed to work!
